In addition to core courses, college students specialize in one space of concentration, from among the following: health promotion and illness prevention; global health policy, methods and administration; global e-health; and world health and the setting.
The Specialized Honours diploma option combines core, foundational programs that every one college students take including (among others) Determinants of Health, Continual Diseases and Care, Communicable Diseases and Care, International Health Research Strategies & Measurement, Health and Human Rights, World Health Policy: Power and Politics, Healthcare Planning, and International Health Governance and Leadership.
The Honours BA and BSc diploma options require a minimum of forty eight credits from core, foundational courses including (among others) Determinants of Health, Continual Diseases and Care, Communicable Diseases and Care, Global Health Analysis Methods & Measurement, Health and Human Rights, World Health Coverage: Energy and Politics, Healthcare Planning, and International Health Governance and Leadership.
New and emerging infectious illnesses, such because the Zika virus or zoonoses, altering disease patterns and existence, massive-scale migration of susceptible populations or the rising costs of healthcare; these are examples of problems that add complexity to the already appreciable health challenges the world is facing at present.
Students will graduate with an understanding and information of worldwide health structure, comparative health techniques, health information and communication expertise, challenges of community empowerment in useful resource-poor settings, the nature, dynamics and impact of international migration on human sources for health, and health care financing and health sector reform across cultures and countries.
