Can You Grow Taller After Puberty?

Can You Grow Taller After Puberty?

Often the question “can I grow taller after puberty?” is asked, it is more often that the question isn’t asked at all, as many believe they already know the answer, due to the general misunderstanding that you can’t grow after puberty. This is totally wrong as I will explain why.

Firstly, the body may naturally continue to grow well beyond the growth spurt phase experienced in nearly all cases during adolescence, at times continuing well into a person’s 20’s. This can occur without any process being undertaken by the person in question. In most cases though, growth will stop a few years after puberty

Even after a person’s natural growth stage has ended, there are further processes which might trigger growth, and many people may be growing taller without even necessarily meaning to.

To understand why growth is possible after puberty, it’s necessary to understand the process behind growth, and how those natural processes can be targeted to induce growth in later years.

Through a certain exercises (NOT PULL UPS) that aim to rectify and straighten your spine as well as strengthening your back muscles, you can be surprised that this will make you 1-2 inches taller.

Do you know that space astronauts when they go to space they come back 1-4 inches taller. mmm

Why? Because up in space they are free from gravity which decompresses their spines leading to greater space between each vertebrae and the next which of course give them extra height.

That is why you are slightly taller in the morning after you wake up.

Luckily through exercises you can decompress your spine here on earth. lol

What I said above works for everyone whether above 21, after puberty because they don’t cause actual growth in bones, rather increase in height.

These are just some of the ways so as to height can be increased, even many years after you figured your height had stopped growing.…

Good Vibrations For Cold/Flu Prevention

Good Vibrations For Cold/Flu Prevention

What do you do when you start feeling those foreboding symptoms of a cold – the scratchy throat, tingly nose, and headachey pressure telling you that a cold or flu virus is trying to take over your immune system? Do you up your Vitamin C intake? Drink more juice and tea? Work up a good sweat? Eat as much raw garlic as you can take? Suck on zinc lozenges? Head for the doctor’s office?

One of the more interesting cold/flu prevention strategies I have come across was ingesting oregano essential oil. A customer had asked me if I could recommend a way to get her kids to ingest this oil, having heard that it was a great natural solution for colds and flu. This does not feel like a sound plan in my book. I suggested to her that there is an easier and safer way to use nature’s healing powers to ward off winter misery: Immune Boost.

Immune Boost is a powerful flower essence formula that I created several years ago. Flower essence formulas are vibrational remedies that stimulate the nervous system and meridians (the channels in the body affected by acupuncture). This formula nurtures and supports the body etherically, creating more harmonious and vital energy patterns. It provides assistance on its own and can facilitate assimilation of herbal, emotional, psychological, and other healing modalities.

Immune Boost provides an extra safeguard and stimulus for our immune system and is especially helpful for people who sometimes allow themselves to over do it and get out of balance. The formula tells our body that it’s being invaded and needs to ramp up defenses and make a stand. As one of my customers wrote in a testimonial: “I always have this on-hand. Whenever I feel like I’m getting sick or just run down, I start taking Immune Boost and within a couple of days, I feel great! This stuff works!” The other bonus is that there are no unwanted side effects with flower remedies making them perfect for the entire family.

Dosages vary for different formulas but Immune Boost can be taken as often as a couple drops (under the tongue like homeopathics) every hour or so for a few days until you get a result. Flower essences truly are one of our most potent energy medicines available for our health and well-being. Give them a try. You might just get hooked.…

Trouble With Acne

Trouble With Acne

At the age of puberty, boys and girls have significant changes in the endocrine as well as physical. Besides, acne also appears more on the face. It is caused by a change in sex hormones at puberty period.

This time, sweat glands and sebaceous glands operate and excrete greater. The great excretion along with a strong buildup of bacteria in the hair follicles make acne generates more and more. Acne can stay on the skin surface, most common in the forehead, cheeks, chin, sometimes in the shoulders, back, and chest. People with oily skin usually have more acne than those who have dry skin, because the oily layer creates condition for dust to cling and then to arise more acne…

Usually, through the age of puberty, the body’s endocrine operates normally again, then the irritating acne disappears. However, most girls are not patient enough to wait before aging acne; those girls then squeeze the new acne out by hand. Furthermore, no cleaning the skin often will lead to the acne infections. Meanwhile, more acne will be swelling, festering and then become very dangerous boils.

Not only the risk of scarring, but more dangerous, the pimples can lead to serious infection, the ulcer bacteria will get into the bloodstream, causing septicemia.

Besides external causes like sex hormone changes, acne will also appears due to environmental pollution, stress, and living habits. For example, awaking too late at night is also a cause of acne. In addition, diet with lots of spicy, hot, drink alcohol, coffee… causes acne.

When having acne, you should not arbitrarily squeeze, or rub the products onto the skin while don’t know which products suit your skin type or not. The best way is that you should go to the grassroots specialist dermatologist for examination and treatment by the most appropriate method.

To prevent acne, it is important to keep skin clean and sanitary, which helps pores open. You should wear dust mask when going outside. Always wash your face clean after going out. Don’t be awake too late at night; avoid stress factors, stress; avoid hot spicy food, alcohol, stimulants, coffee…

Alternative Doctors – Be Careful, Be Selective

Alternative Doctors – Be Careful, Be Selective

First of all know that I’m not writing this from an “all doctors who don’t follow traditional allopathic medical protocols are quacks” perspective. To the contrary. I avoid allopathic physicians like the plague. Since I’ve been searching for a nutritional solution to a physical problem for eight years now I’ve seen a lot of non-traditional doctors and have noticed a disturbing trend. And it’s not a good one.

When you enter an alternative doctor’s office you enter their world. They have their own way of doing things. In the initial exam the doctor tells you that in order for him to diagnose your problem properly you need tests. The non-traditional doctor will order up a vast array of tests, which you pay for, so that he can make his analysis. The problem is that you don’t know exactly how relevant all these tests are. Urine tests, blood tests, scans, etc., can easily run over a thousand dollars. Be careful. Be selective.

Since I’ve been through this many times I now ask for the prices of all these tests and then ask the doctor to recommend the most critical tests he needs for half the total price. If he says he needs them all, I’m out. I figure, if he can’t work within a budget, he’s probably going to goose me the whole way.

You have entered their own private universe where they rule. They rule the patients and they rule the staff. There are rarely any other doctors around to question their authority. They have their own protocols, they KNOW they are right, and they can easily intimidate you with their medical school knowledge. However, it IS your body. Don’t just let them run over you.

After the diagnosis treatment usually involves nutritional supplements. Many doctors have their own brands. I can’t knock a doctor for wanting to make a buck on nutritional supplements, but many alternative doctors will think nothing of loading you up with 20-40 pills per day! That’s off the scale NUTS! They know that too many nutrients will just pass right through their patients and create no harm but really, do you have to prescribe the whole kitchen sink?! And of course they’ll insist that their vitamins are the best, contain only the finest pharmaceutical grade components, and that is why they cost so much. Just be careful. Be selective.

As with medical tests, I ask the doctor what are the three most important nutrients he is recommending and I buy those when I leave. Then I go home and research all the nutritional products I passed on to find out if they really pertain to my problem or whether the doctor is just giving me a blanket array of nutrients. Armed with that knowledge I then buy more nutritional supplements or not. It’s way too easy, upon leaving the doctor’s office, to just say “Yes” and take everything. Don’t do that!

In the end, alternative doctors can help you. You just have to weave your way through the maze they’ve created to enhance their own financial condition. Some show more avarice than others and all deserve to earn a good income. Just be careful. Be selective.…

Drug-Free Treatment for ADD and ADHD: Great News for Health-Conscious Parents

Drug-Free Treatment for ADD and ADHD: Great News for Health-Conscious Parents

Is your child among the more than 22 million children who have been diagnosed with Attention Deficient Disorder (ADD) or Attention Deficient Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)? Most of them are treated by being placed on activity-modifying drugs such as Ritalin. What has received little public attention is the detective work being performed by Functional Medicine practitioners to track down the cause of a child’s ADD/ADHD and to relieve the condition without drugs.

What Causes ADD/ADHD?

Symptoms of ADD/ADHD are manifestations of central nervous system dysfunctions whose causes include diet, allergens in the food or water supply, air pollution, lifestyle factors and deficiencies in minerals, enzymes, essential fatty acids or neurotransmitters.

What’s Wrong With Drugging Kids?

From several perspectives, drugs should be a last resort for treatment, not the first.

First, very little research has been performed on the long-term effects of drugs commonly used to treat ADD/ADHD. Why gamble with your child’s future health if another approach is available?

Second, we do know that many ADD/ADHD drugs come with a long list of possible side effects. These include reduced appetite, headaches, jitters, difficulty sleeping, irritability, anxiety, tics and seizures.

The safer, more conservative course of action is to attempt to identify the cause of a disorder and eliminate exposure to it. In some cases, Functional Medicine practitioners can identify the cause of your child’s hyperactive symptoms and eliminate those symptoms in less than a week. Advanced laboratory tests and a thorough medical history are key to diagnosis.

What Natural Treatments Help With ADD/ADHD?

When deficiencies are diagnosed through scientific laboratory testing, they can often be corrected nutritionally or by removing the source of the problem. For example, studies show that by eliminating a food your child is allergic to, ADD symptoms can improve within 3-7 days.

If tests indicated exposure to lead, then treatment would consist of eliminating your child’s exposure to lead paint or other sources of lead in the environment.

If tests indicated a deficiency in the chemical makeup of the brain, this can be corrected nutritionally. For example, both B6 and tryptophan are needed in certain amounts in order for the body to manufacture serotonin, an important neurotransmitter. After remedying the deficiency, your child’s ability to learn and function in an orderly manner can dramatically improve.

Cautions

If your child is already taking ADD/ADHD activity-modifying drugs, stop them only with the supervision of a health care professional. A natural approach to treatment requires all health care practitioners to work together cooperatively to assist your child.

Extended holidays or summer breaks are an excellent time to consider transitioning your child from conventional to natural treatment because the challenge of a structured school day is removed.

Does This Approach Work for Adult ADD/ADHD Too?

Increasingly, adults are discovering that certain difficulties and challenges they’ve experienced for decades are attributable to ADD or ADHD. If you’ve been diagnosed with adult ADD/ADHD, the insights and remedies described in this article apply to you as well.

Treating Atrial Fibrillation With the Maze Procedure

Treating Atrial Fibrillation With the Maze Procedure

Over 2 million people in the U.S. suffer from atrial fibrillation (also referred to as AF or AFib). The likelihood of developing the condition increases as you grow older. It is estimated that nearly 5% of those who are over the age of 65 suffer from it. While it has traditionally been treated with medications such as anti-arrhythmics and shock therapy, the Maze procedure is far more effective. In this article, we’ll provide a brief overview of atrial fibrillation and describe how Maze surgery resolves the condition.

Erratic Rhythm Within The Heart’s Chambers

Your heart consists of four chambers: two atria (upper) and two ventricles (lower). They relax and contract rhythmically in order for your heart to pump blood throughout your body. The rhythm is determined by electrical signals that are generated by your sinus node, a group of cells that are located within the upper right chamber. In effect, the sinus node functions like an organic pacemaker.

The electrical signals that are produced in the sinus node are supposed to follow a defined path through your atria and ventricles. Normally, they first travel through the upper chambers, causing them to contract and push blood into the lower chambers. The electrical impulses then travel through the atrioventricular node and onward through the ventricles, causing them to contract.

Atrial fibrillation is characterized by an erratic heartbeat. The impulses from the sinus node flow through the atria chaotically, causing them to contract unpredictably. This can lead to heart palpitations, poor circulation, and breathing difficulties.

Resolving The Problem With The Maze Procedure

The Maze procedure can be used to design a path along which the sinus node’s electrical signals travel. This is accomplished by creating scar tissue. Because scar tissue cannot conduct electricity, it is capable of disrupting the erratic impulses and preventing them from occurring.

During the operation, a surgeon will make several small incisions into the left and right atria. The incisions must be precisely positioned to create a clear pathway for the impulses to follow. Once the incisions have been made, they are immediately sewn back together to create scarring.

Open Versus Minimally Invasive Techniques

The Maze procedure can be performed either through open surgery (sternotomy) or by taking a minimally invasive approach. Open heart surgery requires that the sternum is split and the heart is stopped. There is a significant risk of infection and substantial postoperative pain.

A minimally invasive approach eliminates the need for the surgeon to split the sternum or stop the heart. Instead, several small incisions are made between the ribs; a camera and surgical instruments are inserted through the incisions to access the site and perform the surgery. There is less likelihood of infection and less pain following the procedure.

Though atrial fibrillation many times can lead to reduced heart function and even stroke, it is not always dangerous. If you suffer from AFib, it is wise to speak with your doctor regarding whether the Maze procedure is an appropriate form of treatment for your circumstances.…

Alternative Medicine For Pets – Breakthrough Remedies to Boost Immunity in Dogs and Cats

Alternative Medicine For Pets – Breakthrough Remedies to Boost Immunity in Dogs and Cats

A happy pet is a healthy pet, and if your dog or cat is not acting the way he or she normally does, or you feel as if they are getting a little sluggish, then you might want to consider using a natural alternative medicine for pets. You have undoubtedly heard about this type of thing for humans, but pets are part of our families and we need to use all of the tools we can to keep them healthy and happy.

When you think of alternative medicine for pets, you probably think of it in its human equivalent. There is acupuncture, massage, holistic health, herbal medicines, and plenty of other ways to keep humans healthy in addition to normal medical and nutritional attention. So, why would you think that pets are any different?

One of the things that is missing from most of our pets’ lives is good nutrition. The major dog and cat food manufacturers state that their food provides everything your animal needs, but in reality, it does not. The food we feed our pets is nothing like what they would have eaten in the wild, and as such, they are missing many of the nutrients that they should be getting.

So, when you think of alternative medicine for pets, you should start by thinking about improving their nutrition. In fact, it is the fastest way to turn around any animals disposition and get them to start feeling better soon. You can do that by changing their food and finding a food that is more balanced and contains all of the nutrients that they need. Yes, it needs to taste good, but taste cannot be the only deciding factor. Nutrition is of the utmost importance if you want your animal to live a long and healthy life.

In addition to improving their diet, you should think about adding nutritional supplements, just like you would with your own diet. There are numerous herbal and natural supplements available online for both dogs and cats that can help supplement their normal diet and give them what they are missing.

By changing your pet’s diet and making sure they are getting all of the nutrition that they need, you will find that your animal makes a very quick turnaround. A once tired and lazy dog or cat can become an energetic animal once more once they have the right nutrition in their system.…
